Located in the quiet suburb of Kearny, New Jersey, just outside Newark, our facility provides a safe haven in the heart of the tri-state area, easily accessible from New York City, Trenton and even Philadelphia. With parks, shops and employment opportunities within walking distance, Endeavor House North offers a convenient location for outpatient clients, and a peaceful environment for those at inpatient programs. Our residential treatment center features comfortable shared accommodations, a kitchen, a common room, and outdoor space, where clients are allowed to smoke.

Bethsaida Rivera, MHS, LCADC, CCSExecutive Director
Bethsaida Rivera began working in substance abuse treatment as a counselor intern in 2006. After obtaining her certification in 2009, she joined the team at Endeavor House. Ms. Rivera went on to earn her master’s degree in human services and her LCADC while working at Serenity at Summit & CURA.
In 2019, Ms. Rivera returned to Endeavor House as Executive Director overseeing day-to-day operations and monitoring the organization's mission & overall effectiveness. Her dedication is exemplified daily in her care and passion for creating an environment that fosters the wellness of clients & staff alike. In her free time, Bethsaida provides in-home counseling through St. Claire’s social services, a gift she has been providing in the community since 2016. Ms. Rivera is a proud grandparent of three.
Denise Pisaniello, RNDirector of Nursing
A uniquely dedicated professional, Denise Pisaniello brings over 10 years of nursing experience to her addiction treatment work at Endeavor House. Prior to her engagement as Director of Nursing, Ms. Pisaniello was a Charge Nurse at Straight and Narrow.
Her selfless passion for helping people with substance abuse issues is evident in every facet of her work and deeply supports the mission and vision of Endeavor House. Ms. Pisaniello states that her goal is “to be able to enrich the lives of all clients who come through our facility.”
Candace Kotkin-DeCarvalho, MSW, LCADC, RYT, CCTPClinical Director of Outpatient Services
Passionate about providing individualized treatment for clients of all backgrounds, Candace brings nearly a decade of hands-on experience to her role as the Clinical Director of Outpatient Services, having recently led the Alternative Recovery and Wellness program at Advanced Health & Education in Eatontown. A Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor and a Registered Yoga Teacher, Candace also holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work.
Steven CostaAlumni Coordinator
Steven Costa is our Alumni Coordinator for Endeavor House. He is a certified recovery specialist who has been working in the field of addiction for a year. Steven thrives in helping the alumni and he chose this field because he has a passion for helping others. Using his own story and recovery journey to be the hope for his alumni and to show that with motivation and dedication recovery is possible. Steven has a strong, but gentle approach to his alumni. Always having their back and making sure they know they can always turn to him with their recovery in a time of need. He is their biggest advocate and cheerleader, but will also hold them accountable when needed.
